Making sure people with learning disabilities in Montgomeryshire are valued and respected

New trustees needed!

At the moment we are looking for new volunteer trustees. Co-ordinator Angela Bennett says:

“At A Voice for You we are passionate about building a better future for people with a learning disability in the county. We have a small but enthusiastic team of volunteer trustees – together we work hard to achieve our goals. We have vacancies for trustees at present – it would be great to welcome some new faces onto the committee.”

Sarah Parry-Roberts (pictured centre below), our most recent trustee recruit is settling into her role very well and told us:

“When I retired from Cedewain School in Newtown last September I really wanted to get more involved in the community rather than stay at home and do nothing! Having worked with youngsters with a learning disability for many years joining A Voice for You seemed a natural thing to do. It’s very rewarding to be part of an organisation which really does make a difference in the lives of the people they support. I’ve enjoyed learning more about how the organisation ticks and especially about how they recruit and train volunteers to become advocates. I also join in and helped at the monthly Social Club.”
